Srinagar: Governor Lieutenant J & K, Manoj Sinha, on Tuesday said the date for the poll in UT will be determined by the Indian election commission, because it is their prerogative right to do so.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the function in Skicc here, Sinha said the Indian government is committed to holding assemblies in the J & K Union region, as soon as the restriction commission (DC) completes its training.
“In his speech on August 15, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the restriction commission worked based on a quick lane.
Apart from that, the minister of the house of Union Amit Shah has said in parliament that the state will be given to J & K at the right time,” Sinha said.
Sinha said the number of assembly seats in UT will rise from 87 to 94.
Reply to the question, Sinha said that throwing stones now is from the past, while tourism has increased in the past.
