Navi Mumbai: The house of the Fugitive Dawood Ibrahim family in Mumbake in Ratnagiri Regency, which has now been bought by the Supreme Court of Advocates Ajay Srivastava, is likely to be converted into a school.
Srivastava (59), who took the property of last Friday, said the school would follow the teaching system “Gurukuk or Madrasah”.
He said the school would be formed under Sanatan Dharam Pathshala Trust.
“Mansion will now be known as Sri Chitragupta Bhawan.
This ideal place will try to revive Gurukuk or Madrasah culture, where children will be given with the teachings of history,” Srivastava added.
The mansion had served as a Dawood family vacation home.
Dawood’s father, Ibrahim Kokkar, who was an official at the Crime Branch of Mumbai, was said to have built it around 1979-80, when Dawood rose quickly as a criminal.
The house is now located on the ruins.
“People move away from this property.
The Dawood family used to live there every time they came to the village,” said Akbar sitting, a local resident.
The structure of the ground-plus-two stands on a plot measuring 29,000 square feet.
Another land parcel measures more than 27,000 square feet, decorated with Mango Alphonso, located opposite this.
Property is auctioned by a smuggler and foreign currency manipulator (confiscation) Act or Safe Authority.
“The registration formality was completed last week, after that I had the nature.
The structure will undergo renovation,” said Srivastava.
“I was threatened by Chhota Shakeel in 2001 to hold back not to make a payment after winning a property auction.
This is my constitutional right to participate in the government auction.
I am not against any religion,” the advisers added, who had explored the field in Feroz Shah Kotla Ground (now changed its name as Arun Jaitley Stadium) in Delhi in 1999 in protest against the Indian-Pakistani cricket match.
Srivastava has also bought other properties owned by Dawood.
In connection with the one property, he even appeared in Dawood’s sister, Haseena Parker’s residence to submit court notice.
