Ghaziabad: A group of men suspected of entering a jewelry store in the Taman Shalimar area on Monday night and escaped with gold and silver ornaments, along with more cash than Rs 30 Lakh.
Saurabh Verma, from MCC Raj Nagar Extension, said because Dhanteras, he wanted to open his shop early on Tuesday.
“I reached around 8am and once I entered, I found all the lockers had been opened.
The men broke the wall and entered the store.
They have stolen 250 GM gold, 35 kg of silver ornaments and cash 1.5 lakh.
The stolen items will be around RS 32 Lakh, “Verma said.
According to primary investigations, a group of six people had taken the shop next to the jewelry store on rent.
They should start the furniture business there.
On Monday night, they broke the wall between two shops and used a gas cutter to open the locker at the Verma store.
