New Delhi: All Except for a BJP MP in the parliamentary standing committee led by Shashi on information technology walking out of the panel schedule meeting on Tuesday, with several members of the ruling party parliament claiming a home panel meeting should not be held when the parliamentary session was underway.
The affirmation came on the day when at least four other committees, three of them were chaired by BJP parliamentarians, also met.
The source said MP BJP Nishikant Dubey, besides questioning the time of the panel meeting, objected to the “circulating to press” agenda ahead of the panel meeting.
In accordance with the parliamentary procedure, the agenda for all committee meetings uploaded on the parliament website 7-10 days before the meeting is scheduled.
According to the chairman of the parliamentary procedure from the house panel regularly scheduled a committee meeting during a parliamentary session.
The chairman, however, is mandated to solve meetings and allow members to leave if there are problems done at home and members are needed to give His voice.
Among the BJP Parliament members who came out of Tuesday’s meeting were Nishikant Dubey, Zafar Islam, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and Chatterjee.
However, BJP MP Suresh Gopi, but arrived late and sat through a meeting because of discussing ‘review of the central agency certification function (CBFC)’ relating to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in the context of the Draft ‘Cinematograph (Amendment) Bill, 2021’.
The committee is scheduled to discuss the security and privacy of citizen data on Wednesday, where problems such as the application ‘Sulli Treals’ and the use of spyware pegasus against the cross-section of people including journalists, members of the leaders of justice and politics, are expected to be discussed.
Discussion Tuesday about the Amendment of Cinematograph Bill Saw Submission by actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan, producer Guild of India, Chairman of the CBFC Prasoon Joshi, representative of the OTT platform and information broadcasting and Broadcasting Secretary Amit Khare.
Haasan, said the source, raises concerns over the sensors and bills that are looking for retrospectively at the film certification.
