Mumbai: A 37-year-old man died after a compound wall of a building fainted near Batanga in Malabar Hill.
According to corporate officials of the city of Brihanmumbai, the incident took place at Balaji Niwas at around 16:15 on Saturday.
The victim has been identified as Hitesh Bhuvad.
“One person was injured and rushed to the nearest Elizabeth Hospital.
He was declared dead on arrival,” said an official.
“The building is the building that has compiled.
There are some repair work that occurred on the wall when the portion of the compound fell.
The accident occurred when repair work was above a few cracks on the wall.
The victim was a resident victim,” said Prashant Gaikwad, Assistant Commissioner of the city, D Ward.
Mhada officials said that they examined compound walls and buildings to see if there were other vulnerable parts.
