Palanpur: Mukesh Joshi’s family member, who died three months ago, would be surprising on Friday after they got a message on his cellphone that the deceased had received a second dose of Covid Jab.
The message came to the telephone number used by Joshi who had died, a resident of Palanpur City in Banaskatha, which is now used by other family members, said a district health official.
He added that it was a human mistake caused by the wrong data entry carried out by a health worker.
“When entering detail, health workers incorrectly entered the telephone number of the deceased instead of the actual person who received a vaccine,” Banskantha immunization officer Dr.
Jignesh Haryani to Ti.
“This happened because Joshi died after taking the first dose.
However, his name continues to show in the list of people whose doses are delayed.
So when it’s time for the second dose of Joshi on Friday, his name appears on the list and the operator enters his telephone number,” said Haryani, added that workers responsible for the mistake were suspended.
