Mumbai: Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Sunday says the death of Elgar Parishad-Maoist Links Cases Accused of Jesuit Priest Stan Swamy cannot be justified even if Maois is “more dangerous than Kashmir separatists”.
In his weekly column ‘Roktheok’ in the funnel of ‘Saamana’ party, Rauut wondered if the Indian foundation was very weak so that an 84-year-old man could fight against him, and said critical of the petelling government did not mean being in the country.
Swamy, 84, maybe the oldest person accused of terrorism in India, died at Mumbai Hospital recently in the middle of his struggle for guarantees for health reasons.
“The government that is afraid of a 84-year-old man who is physically challenged is dictatorial in character, but is weak in mind,” said Ra.
Parishad elgar activities cannot be supported, but what happens then must be referred to as “conspiracy to solve freedom”, said Raut, referring to capture of activists such as Varavara Rao, Sudha Bharadwaj, Gaurav Navlakha and others.
