Dadam (Bhiwani): One more body was found on Sundays because the rescue operation continued for the second day on Shadam’s mining site, where four people were killed in landslides the day before.
The 42-member rescue team of Force Response Disaster (NDRF) pulled the body from debris around 2am.
The victim has been identified as one Dharmbir from Rohtak.
The death toll has now increased by five.
Deputy Commissioner Bhiwani R S Dhillon said the fact search team had been formed to look into an accident in the mining zone in the adjacent area adjacent to Aravali’s reach.
Asked about the alleged BJP BJP Bhiwani MP Dharambir Singh from illegal mining, the officer said he could comment after getting a panel report finding facts as their main focus now is speeding up rescue operations.
Bhiwani SP Ajit Shekhawat said given the number of vehicles in the mining zone during the accident, the possibility of more mining workers lying under the rubble cannot be ruled out.
Shekhawat said the action would be taken based on the statement of family members from the deceased.
