BOGOTA : The death toll from a landslide in southwest Colombia has risen to 17 , said the Disaster Relief Agency in the country on Friday.
The death toll previously stood at 14.
“Movement of soil layer caused the death of 17 people , eight were injured , of whom 7 had been released from the hospital , ” said a statement on Twitter .
The tragedy occurred on Tuesday in the suburbs Mallama after heavy rain.
