Kandahar: The death toll from the bombing of the Shiite Mosque in Kandahar Afghanistan has increased to 63, a local hospital source said.
The number of people who were injured in the explosion had risen to 83, said Sputnik quoted the source.
Responsibility for attacks is reportedly claimed by the Islamic terrorist group (IS).
In recent weeks, Islamic countries have carried out a number of attacks targeting religious places.
This was the second bomb attack against the Shia Mosque in Afghanistan for the past week.
In the first attack, which took place in the North Kunduz City last Friday and was claimed by terror groups, more than 50 lives of getting lost and a number of other people were injured.
