Dubai: The death toll from Cyclone Shaheen rose to five Monday while other fishermen from Iran remained lost when the storm moved further into the interior to Oman and weakened.
Authorities in Oman said they found the body of a man who disappeared when the flood shipped him from his vehicle.
On Sunday when a storm made a landing, they said a child who was sunk and two foreigners from Asia died in a landslide.
In Iran, the television state said the savior found the body from one in five fishermen who lost Pasabandar, a fishing village near the border of the Islamic Republic with Pakistan.
Earlier on Sunday, Deputy Parliament Iran, Ali Nikzad said he was afraid as many as six fishermen had been killed by a typhoon.
The Indian Meteorology Department, the top fortune for cyclone which swept the Indian Ocean, said the wind from Shaheen is now blowing up to 90 kph (55 mph) and will continue to weaken.
This estimates the storm will weaken into tropical depression in the coming hours.
Shaheen makes landing with wind reaching up to 150 kph (93 mph).
Oman State Television broadcasts street images and valleys flooded when storms stir deeper into the sultanate, the outer ends reach the neighbor of the United Arab Emirates.
Emirates, home for Abu Dhabi and Dubai, has issued a warning to residents that the storm will come.
The wind was picked up in the country from Sunday, sweeping on the grounds of the newly opened 2020 Dubai Expo.
