The Delhi Covid case fell 15% to 20,718; 30 deaths

New Delhi: Tally every day from the Covid-19 case in Delhi fell 15% to 20,718 on Saturday from 24,383 Friday even though the level of participants remained high at 30.6%.
Thirty deaths from the virus were confirmed on Saturday.
One reason for increasing publositives and lower daily counts can be reduced by testing, officials said.
In the last 24 hours, Saturday health bulletins only showed 67,624 tests carried out in the city.
From this, 54,141 tests were carried out using the RT-PCR / cbnaat method while the rest was done using a quick antigen test.
Previously, on Wednesday, the daily test had reached 1.05.102.
They fell to 98,832 on Thursday and 79,578 on Friday.
Saturday testing records are the lowest in the last three days, officials said.
The national capital currently has 93,407 active Covid cases, where 69,554 is in house isolation.
According to government data, 2,620 patients were in the hospital.
887 patients were on oxygen support, including 113 on the ventilator.
A total of 128 Covid deaths have been recorded in the first 15 days of January.
Most of these patients have comorbidity, according to government data.
The capital saw 130 deaths in the past six months – nine in December, seven in November, four in October, five in September and 29 in August.
In July, Covid claims 76 lives in the city.
Because of the weekend at night, most places that are usually crowded like Chawri Bazar, victims tend to increase further because of the reception because Covid-19 is still increasing, said the doctor, adding that those who are severely ill require oxygen support or ventilator.
At present, there is no shortage of beds.
Government data showed that only 2,620 (17%) of a total of 15,494 covid beds were occupied in the city.
The occupancy of ICU and ventilators is also less than 20% at this time.
Although the number of Covid-19 cases in Delhi rose nearly nine times between 1 and 14 January, the percentage of patients in the support of ventilators at the city hospital only grew twice in the same period, government data showed.
During the second wave of Coronavirus last year when the number of cases was on a similar route, the level of hospitalization and those who used higher ventilator support, officials said.
The city government has, at various stages, said that people who develop serious illness are mostly those who are not vaccinated and have comorbidities.
Government employees are vulnerable to WFH: Delhi Disaster Management Authority has freed people with disabilities and employees of pregnant women from the City Government Department to attend the office.
The employee will work from home and will have regular communication with their offices via cellphone or email while working from home, DDMA said in the order on Friday.
