The depletion of exorbitant BBMP platforms attracted green anger

Bengaluru: Environmental lovers are not happy with the exorbitant tender floating BBMP with crores rupees to plant and maintain puppies throughout the city.
Responding to the TII report – Tender floating for Round 62K, BBMP is ready to pay Rs 930 for each – published on Friday, residents, and environmental lovers say the Civic body does not have a planned approach to overcome the problem of city tree cover problems.
On the World Environment Day, Paris launched its Koti Vruska program, which imagined to plant 1 puppies in the city in three years and stated that it would ensure survival plants.
Harish Gowda, an environmental expert, the alleged BBMP failed to maintain the existing and protect tree guards.
“The Civic body cannot maintain the existing tree, or a tree guard.
Why float the tender to lift a new tiller and install a tree guard?” Wondering Gowda.
“A young tree can be planted and planted only amounting to 200 years.
Pikic estimates increased by Rs 930 per yellow silent interest in the workplace,” he thought.
In areas such as Indiranagar, Vidhana Soudha, Sanjaynagar and a portion of the colony dollar where there is a VIP movement, the civil body makes efforts to plant puppies and look after them, while in the remaining part of the city, puppies are allowed to die, other senior words of the environment.
“Winter is not the right season to plant puppies because of the chance of surviving a little,” said Akshay Hebikar, Director of Eco-Watch.
Hebicar suggested it would be better if the civil body started the same project in March or April, after that the Monsun would take care of puppies.
Heblicar added that the lack of coordination between civil institutions affected Anyah’s growth.
“Every time there are road cuts or other construction work, debris is dumped at the puppies, which then finally died,” he said.
Involving NGOs, government and school institutions in the afforestation drive will be a better idea, he said.
DattaTraya T devare, other environmental lovers, say more than planting puppies, ensuring their survival is important.
“The BBMP does not have a mechanism for monitoring plantation drives, as a result in which puppies are finally planted in the same place every year and everything is reduced to a joke,” Devare said.
“The BBMP uses bamboo guards, but they will not survive.
Need to use an iron tree guard to ensure the noise of survival,” he said.
Shankar Reddy Babu, Special Commissioner (Plantation, Forest, Education), BBMP, is not available for comments.
