Jaipur: Jaipur police on Sunday arrested a 21-year-old thief involved in more than a dozen criminal cases posing as news channel journalists.
According to the Harmara police station, Shayar Meena was arrested with a mic from ‘suspicious’ news and press cards.
He was on the run for the last five months after he entered the electronic store at Rajawas Bus Stand and closed with products including LED TV in January.
The police said they also seized a luxury car from him who had a large ‘press’ sticker that was inserted on the front of the front and back glass.
Many times, he introduced himself as a senior journalist from the news channel and lived in a prosperous environment near Chomu.
The police said the news channel seemed to doubt a little known about it.
“We have caught one who was accused of being identified as Rahul Kiradiya in this case.
Shayar was on an escape.
The two defendants have cut shots from electronic stores and include stolen products to Tempo-trucks.
They sell stolen products in the gray market,” said Harmara Sho Chaina Ram Bera.
Police Jaipur claimed that Meena was an advanced criminal who was proficient at turning to shops and other places.
No gate or iron shutter is a deterrent for him.
Officials claimed that the defendant acted as a journalist during the day and criminals at night.
He has been booked in various cases by 14 police stations in Sikar and Jaipur.
“He used his status as a journalist to cover his criminal company and chose a luxury area as his residence so that no one could suspect that he was a thief,” said an official, added that the defendant had been actively involved in criminal activities.
Since 2009.
In Jaipur, he was ordered by several police stations including VKI, Jobner, Kaladera, Chomu, Vaishali Nagar, Ashok Nagar.
That’s the fame that Jaipur’s police recently put it in the top-10 10 criminal list sought by the police.
