Thiruvananthapuram: Pale police here on Friday caught a desired man in connection with a case related to sexual harassment a little girl.
The police identified the defendant as Mithun aka Achu, 24, from Kadambattukonam near the pariypal in Kollam District.
The police said that the defendant hid for the past two months to avoid arrest.
He was arrested by a team led by Varkala DSP P Station and Pallickal Station House Inspector Sreejith after receiving reliable information about the existence of the defendant.
The police said that the alleged crime occurred on November 30, 2021.
He allegedly entered the house below the powikal police station and tried to be sexually abused a seven-year-old girl.
He escaped from home when the girl shouted and lifted an alarm.
The defendant was a habitual actor.
He has several cases of robbery and snatching chains delayed in his name at various police stations in the Thiruvananthapuram district and Kollam and in Tamil Nadu.
He was also sought by the Q branch of the Tamil Nadu police.
Kollam District Police have begun steps to beg for him when he is involved in the case of sexual harassment and running away.
