New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday welcomed people on the occasion of various festivals related to harvest and traveling to North Sun, celebrated in various parts of the country.
People mark different festivals throughout India which signaled the country’s cultural diversity, he said, extending his greetings.
“Pongal is identical to the vibrant culture of Tamil Nadu.
On this particular occasion, my greetings for everyone and especially the Tamils spread throughout the world.
I pray that our bonds with the nature and spirit of brotherhood in our community deepened,” Modi said on Twitter.

I pray that this festival will increase happiness and prosperity in everyone’s life.
