Santa Fe: The film director Joel Souza, who was shot and injured in an excessive accident involving actor Alec Baldwin, said on Saturday he was “heartbroken” by the death of cinematographer.
Souza, who was hit on the shoulder when Baldwin issued a proper prop that contained direct rounds, breaking his silence when the investigation entered the third day, with many questions left about how the mistake occurred.
“I looked at losing my friends and colleagues, Halyna.
He is good, excited, very talented, struggling for every inch and always encouraging me to be better,” Souza said in a statement.
The shot hit the cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in the chest, according to the Santa Fe County Sheriff office.
He died of his wounds and Souza, who was behind him, was injured but then released from the hospital.
Souza did not provide detailed accidents or injuries but said he was “humble and grateful to the outpouring of the love we received from our filmmaking community, the Santa Fe people, and hundreds of foreigners who had reached”.
On Friday, a Judge Santa Fe approved a warrant for the Sheriff’s office to seize firearms, clothing, cameras, video tapes and ammunition from Bonanza Creek farms outside the Santa Fe, where Baldwin recording “rust” West West.
