Finished / Alvi Times News Network Kanpur: To review the functions of 50 high-quality sensor-based air quality monitoring machines and to ensure better performance of existing systems, district administrative officials visit the Integrated Command & Control Center (ICCCC) in the Smart City Office Kanpur on Friday.
After checking in the field, the team found that of a total of 50 sensor-based AQI machines, only 33 functional machines.
ICCC settings have installed 50 high-quality sensor-based air monitoring machines and equipment in various city locations.
Division Commissioner Raj Shekhar, towards the team, reviewing all ICCC air quality monitoring systems in detail and holding meetings in this regard.
The meeting was attended by the CEO of City Smart Shiv Sharappa, the additional CEO of Tripathi PK, SMART city nodal officers and pollut polls of the pollution control board.
After meeting reviews, the Commissioner made a random visit to two sites-Jareeb Chowki and Coca Cola Crossing – Check the basic situation, and found that only 33 out of a total of 50 sensor-based AQI machines were functioning.
The authorities told him that the whole machine was being repaired because of the Metro and other road construction work.
Then, he directed the CEO to repair and replace 17 sensors in 15 days in coordination with Kanpur Metro and PWD.
Taking a serious note that routine reports have not been sent over the past few months for smart city officials by the ICCC Tech Mahindra team, Commissioner asked the CEO to issue a notification show to Mahindra Technology ICCC manager for negligence.
Found in a review meeting that the “real time report on the AQI report ‘was produced and sent to the pollution control office via email, but when asked about the actions taken on daily reports, pollution control officers said that no action had been taken against them so far.

To ensure that real time data from air quality on the KANP ur reaches everyone in the city, the commissioner directs the CEO to see that the Kanpur Smart City mobile application takes data in real time and is updated regularly so that people from City can see all data related to air quality (from all 50 sensor-based monitoring systems throughout City) on their cellphones.
He also asked the CEO to examine every day for the next 15 days, and had fixed the next review meeting after 15 days.
