Ranchi: The state of the state government on December 29 to provide a preference to the institutional quarantine of Covid patients is regulated to paralyze the available health infrastructure given the steps where infection spreads.
The expression has sounded a warning about this issue and said the quarantine decision – home or institution – should not be left with the incident commander or administrative official but emphasized that the protocol must be issued at the level of the Ministry of Health.
On Saturday, Covid Wards at the Rajendra Rajendra (rim) institution and a conscious hospital was almost full of capacity with the majority of asymptomatic patients.
“The virulence of the new omicron strain is lacking even though its transmission is high.
At present, our ward is filled and most of the asymptomatic patients,” said Dr.
Pradeep Bhattacharya, Head of the Covid State Center in Rims.
He warned that if medical experts and staff were involved with asymptomatic patients, they would be exhausted and could not serve during medical treatment which was actually needed for serious patients.
Of the total patients received in rims, only four support oxygen.
“Even four patients do not require high flow oxygen and are expected to recover soon,” he said.
Experts and specialists in neck and skull operations, Dr.
Abhishek Kumar Ramadhin, said he had attended several Covid patients in the last pair of the day.
“There is no doubt that infection spreads very quickly but in the absence of genome sequencing, we cannot say guarantee whether they are omicron variants,” he said, emphasizing that in a few days, institutional quarantine would prove the burden because the number of patients would improve manifold.
“Most patients do not show symptoms or with mild symptoms, which are often considered during the end of the pandemic, but we must remember it even if 0.1% of patients become serious and require ICU maintenance, our health infrastructure will be inadequate after the rapid spread of infection,” he said , it shows that the government must make decisions about home quarantine for asymptomatic patients as soon as possible.
The state health department said that they monitored the situation and commander of the incident had been directed at receiving a telephone about the quarantine of the house or institutional.
Orders for quarantine are based on direction from the center, they said.
However, the doctors claimed that the incident commander was not ready to take responsibility for the quarantine of the house, fear of the spread of the virus.
“Our hospital – consisting of government and the private sector – does not have unlimited infrastructure to quarantine each and every patient and when we know that new variants are very contagious, we must accept the fact that the majority of the population will be infected.
Therefore, infrastructure Health must be prepared for those who really need care, “said Jogesh Gambir, President Jharkhand Chapter of Associent of Health Compolders India.
He said besides the institutional quarantine compulsory, patients who came out of panic also came to the hospital but they must understand that the current variant causes mild symptoms that are increasingly in 48 to 72 hours without much intervention.
