New Delhi: A dog died after being beaten mercilessly by two men in the Rohas Nagar area in the Shahdara district in Delhi.
The police have registered a case against an unknown man.
The incident video becomes a viral on social media where two men can be seen attacking street dogs with sticks.
According to the police, they received complaints from someone, who managed food stalls at Shahdara.
“On Wednesday, I saw a video on my cellphone that two people hit a dog with a stick,” said the complainant to the police.
He further said, “I don’t know who these two people are and where this incident took place but I called the telephone to the police and notified them about the incident.” According to officers, during the investigation, they found that the incident occurred in the Rohas Nagar area.
The police said they had identified both people and that they were both elderly.
“We haven’t asked them yet so far.
Further investigation is happening,” the officer said.
When asked whether the dog died, the police deputy commissioner (Shahdara) R Sathiyasundaram said the animal gave up injury after being reflected.
