Ghaziabad / Noida: Vaccination travel in Noida and Ghaziabad gained speed on Monday after almost a week slumped.
Walk-in returned in several centers in Noida along with cluster inoculation that had to be jammed for five days last week due to lack of doses.
Drive vaccination received a very much needed encouragement after Ghaziabad received 33,000 doses for the next three days while Noida got 39,000 doses.
The Ministry of Health in Ghaziabad already has 16,000 doses in stock.
Source said the two districts planned to provide 20,000 vaccines every day for the next three days.
However, clusters-based vaccination will continue in the six Areas of Ghaziabad and two Noida regions and will not be extended to all districts as previously planned.
Senior health officials said even though they got new dosage supplies, they were not enough to do more cluster-based drives.
Dr.
Neeraj Agarwal, immunization officers in Ghaziabad, said the number of session sites had been upgraded as well as the arrival of a new dose.
In Ghaziabad, the number of centers has increased to 60 of only 30-32 weeks ago.
In Noida too, the Ministry of Health has doubled the number of sites to 70 of 35 weeks ago.
The government has assured that the vaccine supply will soon be smooth and in accordance with the target.
Given the worries that more children will be infected during the third wave, instructions have been spent to vaccinate parents whose children are under the earliest 12 years.
“We feel comfortable with the supply of vaccine doses like now and expect other batches to arrive soon.
We have kept clusters-based vaccinations for all districts at this time.
But they will soon begin,” said Dr.
Deepak Ohri, head of the Noida medical officer.
Meanwhile, managing a crowd in vaccine centers continued to be a problem in Ghaziabad.
On Monday, Chaos was reported on the site session at Vijay Nagar and Ghantaghar Ramlila Maidan.
At the health center in Vijay Nagar, the recipient accused that local politicians get their supporters vaccinated.
This commotion causes encouragement to be stopped for some time.
A police team reached the place and calmed the people.
In Ghantaghar Ramlila Maidan, people cry to get a shot first.
They accused that the staff and doctors in the center have behaved badly with the recipients.
They also claim that many of the recipients have been sent back and asked to get a fresh slot.
