Mangaluru: District and additional judge sessions, fast trajectory session-1, (Pocso), Savithri V Bhat on Wednesday sentenced a 45-year-old driver to 15 years in a tight prison (RI) under Part 6 Pocso Law, and Enforce a fine RS 1 lakh under this section.
A special prosecutor Venkataramana Swamy said that the court found PJ Jacob, aka Chakocha, guilty of confiscation, rape and criminal intimidation.
He was accused of raping a 17-year-old victim in 2015.
In February 2015, when the victims returned home from school and reached near his house, he stopped him and took him to his house and raped him.
He also threatened to kill him, in case he told anyone about the incident.
Next, he raped him on rubber plantations and the incident was revealed when the victims were pregnant, he said.
The court punished Jacob up to six years in the Republic of Indonesia and enforced a fine of RS 1 Lakh under the IPC part 376 (rape).
Furthermore, he was fined Rs 500, under the IPC part 341 (wrong restraint) and under the IPC 506 (criminal intimidation) he was sentenced to six months of RI and a fine of 5,000.
Next, under ACT SC / SC, he has been sentenced to two years and a fine of RS 50,000.
Of the subtle total collected as a fine, Rs 2 Lakh will go to the victim who survived as compensation.
The court directed the country to provide compensation for RS 1 Lakh to survivors.
