Patna: The District Narcotics Control Department invaded a medical store at the doctor’s clinic in Indraprastha apartment on the boring canal road on Monday and confiscated drugs.
The case was also submitted to the Puri SK police station in this connection.
Patna drug controller assistant, Vishujeet Dasgupta, said on Tuesday that a small medical store that runs in a residential area and attached to a private clinic or a nursing home under the scanner.
The action was taken following the command of Patna DM Chandrashekhar Singh in complaints by the Dighwara Block Development Officer (BDO), which was given injection purchased from the medical store as part of the treatment for the gallbladder problem.
Within minutes after leaving the clinic place, he felt an inconvenience and returned to the clinic where he found that he had given a drug that expired.
He contacted DM, who directed SDO, Patna Sadar, Dhananjay Kumar and three drug inspectors to attack medical stores.
Dasgupta said the sample of a doctor confiscated by the team would also be checked for their quality.
