New Delhi: East Delhi Municipal Corporation gave a new life to old vehicle tires in the wreckage with reusing them to develop street furniture and benches in the city park.
The corporation has roamed the Metro waste company for the project.
EDMC previously used an old truck to make a cellular children’s garden.
With initiatives such as waste to a surprised garden, recycled street furniture and car parks, three civil bodies found a new way to reuse waste.
Spokesman EdMC Rakesh Gupta said that this was the third in a series of initiatives carried out to reuse waste.
“We are collecting old tires from city bikar and shop stores.
We have also started using old metal memos from our horticulture store to create small public art installations, which are being used in places such as park offices and cities.
There is no additional money Spent on these projects, “he added.
Previously, the Civic body had turned old garbage trucks to small mobile parks with swings and children’s play areas.
“This cellular garden is brought to dense places that do not have parks and play areas for children,” Gupta said.
The first cellular garden was inaugurated at Delhi Tourism’s Garden Festival in Saket in February.
More gardens like that will be developed, depending on feedback.
They will be placed in 14 wards in East Delhi without playing Area or Parks.
South Delhi Municipal Corporation was setting up a second park with the same concept as waste to Wonder Park in Punjabi Bagh where Indian monuments were being made from metal scrap.
