LONDON: The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) were officially written to the International Cricket Council (ICC) to decide the fate of the fifth test that was canceled against India at Old Trafford, showed that the two councils were far from achieving completion.
The fifth and last test that determines the series in Manchester was summoned after the Covid-19 outbreak in the Indian camp forced its senior players to express their concerns to BCCI and the ECB to advance with the match.
“Yes, we have written a letter to the ICC,” The ECB spokesman told PTI when asked whether they want the global body to decide the fifth test.
