Bengaluru: Building an impressive edge on BJP in the election of the Urban Local Agency (ULB) which was contested carefully in Karnataka, Congress won 498 of 1,184 wards in 58 urban bodies where the results were announced on Thursday.
BJP won 437, JD (s) 45 and independent 204 seats.
Polling was held on Monday to 58 ULB, 57 GPS and Bypolls up to nine ULB wards throughout Karnataka after a three-year delay.
Most ULBs have thrown a cracked verdict and JD (s) can play kingmaker at least a dozen councils.
Voters have responded to the BJP split agenda.
The BJP government tries to divert attention by taking anti-conversion laws, but the progressive Kannadigas realizes that such problems are intended to serve anyone other than broken strength.
The successive election results have clearly stipulated that voters care about price increases, decreases, work, rampant corruption and apathetic BJP government on public welfare.
Randeep Singh Surjewala, Secretary General of AICC responsible for Karnatakacongress, with 42% of the shares of votes, claiming a rise of its support base, while BJP and JD (s) can be surveyed at 36.9% and 3.8% respectively.
Others got 17.2%.
Waves that support Congress, said Siddaramaiaah well, Congress has done well in the BJP District – Vijayapura, Beleagavi and Chikkamagaluru.
In Vijayapura, the congress has won three of the six city city companies.
The Chairman of the Minister of Basavaraj Bommai suffered from another setback because Congress won the city of Bankapura which fell under the constituency of Shiggaon in Haveri Regency.
Congress has won 14 wards, BJP Seven and Independent two.
Likewise, the City Council of Guttala in Haveri Taluk has gone by the congress.
I disagree with the view that the Congress or the other party has risen to the top.
They cannot do it without our support in many local bodies, including Chikkamagaluru.
We have won five seats at Devarahippara in Vijayapura and opened our account in the coastal area by winning a single seat in Kapu.
With this, we will focus on securing a clear majority in the assembly poll.
In Bankapechnicity, he said 65% of the minority’s vote.
“Let them (Congress) do not rejoice at it.
We have won more chairs Gram Panchayat.
The results are also beneficial for us at City Corporations.
We will take development work wherever BJP wins and strives to bring power in the future election.
Let Siddaramaiiah And Congress is not worried about that, “he added.
Former Chairman of the Minister of Siddaramaiiah Congress said: “The results showed that public opinion opposed the government and waves supported the Congress.
Going with this trend, we 100% sure Congress will return to power with the majority assembly selection of 2023.” KPCC President DK Shivakumar said the results reflected the atmosphere The hearts of the people in front of the Assembly poll.
“Usually, a party that is in power is good in local agency elections.
But people have supported Congress in rural and urban areas,” he added.
Minister BJP KS Eshwarappa climbed Siddaramaiiah’s claim and said: “He rejoices like a partner who gets children 25 years after their marriage.”
