Nagpur: An association representing the education trust in Maharashtra on Thursday said that it would not reopen the school until the government fulfilled their delayed demands.
Maharashtra Rajya Shikshan Sanstha Mahamandal (MRSSM) Office Office Bearer Ravindra Fadniv said that its members in the Nagpur and Amravati division in round voice decided to write to the government about first delaying their problems.
Almost all schools under MRSSM are vernacular institutes of grants.
Hundreds of schools in the Nagpur and Amravati division will follow this decision, claiming Mrssm at a press conference.
Fadniv said that they had five major demands that had been ignored by the government for a long time.
“Since 2009, problems related to non-salary grants are not resolved because we have not received arrears,” he said and added that “technically” since 2012, the government has not completed the teacher’s recruitment process.
According to Fadnavis, in 2017, permission was given for recruitment but it was not done entirely because of the excess teacher found.
“The teacher recruitment application called Pavitra must be deleted and we must return to the original process where management goes forward with the recruitment process,” he said.
Mrsmm said that class IV employees recruitment has completely stopped, which blocked school work.
“Every school needs a peon but now we cannot hire them because this recruitment is detained,” said Fadnivis.
The association also demands financial assistance grants to school so they can be feasible.
“The government itself is committed to providing financial assistance to schools but has not been done completely.
We demand the status of assistance to be given to schools that meet the immediate requirements, if others are impossible for them to function,” Fadnivis said.
