The Egyptian army said 89 rebels were killed in Sinai turbulent

Cairo: The Egyptian military said the week had killed 89 alleged rebels in operations in the North Sinai, an area where the affiliate of the Islamic state group had been active for almost a decade.

His statement, using the term “takual” to refer to extremist Islamist guerrillas, did not determine the period of time for the operation, but said the army had suffered eight victims.
The army also said it destroyed 404 improvised (IED) explosive devices, four explosive belts and 13 tunnels used by militants to infiltrate the Egyptian region.
The terrible pictures of some alleged militants killed were published with the statement, along with confiscated weapons stoves.
Egyptian forces for years against the rebellion on the Sinai Peninsula, which were mainly led by local branches of Islamic countries.
The attack has doubled since the 2013 Egyptian president’s forces Mohamed Morsi from the Muslim Brotherhood.
