Patna: The body of an eight-year-old girl, who was allegedly raped and killed brutally, recovered 300 meters from his home in a village under the Naya Ramnagar police station in Munger Regency on Thursday.
The incident, according to the police, occurred 200 meters from the edge of the Ganga where the girl went with her father, a fisherman, on Wednesday night.
The girl accompanied her father to the banks of the river and then was told to go home.
However, he lost afterwards.
Incharge of Safia Sarai Police Outpost Gaurav Kumar said the girl’s body was seen by the villagers around 5am.
“The problem was taken to police notice after the recovery of the girl’s body.
He lost on Wednesday night and his family members continued to look for him without telling the police,” he said.
Sho said the girl’s right eye was ruled by the killers.
“The girl’s father had filed a written complaint that was alleged that his daughter was raped and killed brutally.
However, he had not named anyone in FIR,” Kumar said.
He added a sniffer dog pressed into the service to track the suspect’s movement.
“It’s still unclear whether the girl is suffocated or strangled to death.
We are waiting for a postmortem report to come to conclusions,” he said.
Munger SP J Jalaraddi said the special investigation team under the conscious leadership of SDPO Nand Ji Prasad was formed to solve this case.
“The girl’s body was mutilated and one of her eyes was ruled.
It seems like she was raped and killed.
The medical council has been formed to do postmortem,” SP said.
