Guwahati: The elderly pair, aged 87 and 65, was found dead at their residence in the Beltola area in the city on Tuesday morning.
Allegedly that it was allegedly killed by their caregivers for 20 years with a motive allegedly related to their non-moving properties.
The couple survived by two daughters.
The oldest, Manashi, was completed in London and the youngest, Sonali, in Mumbai.
Both are married.
This is the second murder in the city in a week.
Nani Barua, a retired engineer, and Meena Barua, a retired teacher, living alone in their home in one of the residential areas that are peramamed in the city close to the country’s capital complex.
The couple was found lying in bed in their room.
Police said they had found injuries in their heads from sharp weapons.
The incident occurred on Monday night but was revealed on Tuesday morning after the Fairman Akash Choudhury told the police who claimed that he saw the bodies lay around at 7 in the morning.
After the initial investigation, Guwahati police took Akash, who lived in the latrine in the partner’s complex with his family.
The police said that regardless of several property documents, every valuable person, including cash, was found intact in the house, which had caused investigators suspect the corner of the property for murder motives.
After everyday interrogation, the police finally caught Akash at night.
Speaking to the media, Police Commissioner Guwahati Harmeet Singh said, “Akash Choudhury’s involvement has been found in this case so far.
He has been arrested.” Based on Akash’s statement, the police have picked up two other people, Satayendra Dhar Singh from Patharquarry and Paresh Choudhury from the Barbari area in the city.
Both were interrogated until they submitted this report late at night.
