Kolkata: a senior citizen, Sunil Jana, and his wife, was robbed when they had lunch around 3:30 p.m.
on Wednesday on their ground floor in Sultan Nature Avenue in Charu Market.
The police said Jana (76), a famous writer, lost Rs 15,000 in cash, mobile and ATM cards.
The South Division, along with Detective Department officers, is investigating this case.
The police said that several mason who renovated another flat in the building was the main suspect, because they knew that Jana’s son and son-in-law, who lived in other flats in the building, were not at home at that time.
DC (South) Akash Magharia said they had registered a booty case.
