Finished / Alvi Jhansi: An old woman found strangled at her house on Sunday night at Railganj Colony, fell below the Prem Nagar police station in the city.
He lives alone in his house.
The couple, who recently moved to the deceased’s house when tenants were the main suspect in the murder because they had fled over the past few days.
According to reports, the deceased, Durga Devi (70) had lived alone at home after the death of her husband while his married daughter lived in the nearest Pratappura colony.
On Sunday, one of the neighbors who died informed his daughter that there was no movement at home for the past few days and the gate of the channel was also closed, which was very unusual.
When his daughter arrived, he was stunned to see his mother lying dead on the floor.
The police were told who sent the body to post-mortem examination.
His daughter and the neighbors suspected the involvement of his slanting in a missing murder.
His daughter also accused some expensive items missing from home.
According to the police, the initial investigation revealed that the woman had suffocated.
It was slightly astounding that none, including his daughter and landlord earlier from the missing tenants knew their names and their existence.
The police have submitted a case against the unknown pair of tenants under the 302 IPC section.
SSP Jhansi Shivhari Meena said, “The police are investigating this case, and have found some important instructions that will help in accusing the defendant”.
