Samrala (Ludhiana): The 104-year-old voter named Ram Kaur, a resident of Nurpur Village in the Samrala constituency, used a postal letter to give his voice on Monday.
In accordance with the Instruction of the Indian Election Commission (ECI), voter postal papers over 80 years and people with disabilities (PWD) will be thrown through door-to-door vote.
In this case on Monday, under the supervision of Vikramjit Singh Panthey, the return of officers-cum-sub-division Samrala, a total of 10 teams were formed in Vidhan Sabha Constitution 58-Samrala for PWD voters and voters over 80 years.
He told me that according to ECI directions, the team consisting of sector officers, BLO, micro observers, videographers and police personnel, visited various fields of constituency so that people could vote freely and fairly through ballots.
The whole process is done in a very transparent manner.
Vikramjit Singh Panthey informed that the 104-year-old Ram Kaur, wife Kartar Singh, a resident of Nurpur Village in the Samrala constituency threw his voice through a postal letter.
HR personally visited his house and motivated him about the importance of voting.
He also urged all 58-samrala constituency voters to vote for free and fair on February 20, 2022.
He further told him that he also visited the Hedon Betting Constitution Village, where the pwd pair was named Ram Kumar, son of Naseeb Chand and his wife Neetu Rani Also gave their voices using postal papers.
