Srinagar: The meeting broke out between security and terrorist forces in Shardian Jammu District and Kashmir on Sunday, police said.
Security forces have launched the Cordon-and-Search operation in the Sadiq Khan check area in the South Kashmir District, following information about the existence of terrorists there, a police officer said.
He said the search operation turned into a meeting after the terrorists opened fire towards the position of security forces.
Security forces retaliated, triggering gunbattle that was happening when the last report entered, the official said.
