Prayagraj: The 125th birthday of PT Kshetresachandra Chatttopadhyaya, a famous Sanskrit scholar and a close friend of Subash Chandra Bose, will be celebrated with the event to be held at Allahabad National Museum on October 27.
Events were being held in a joint effort by Indira Gandhi National Center of Art, Varanasi, Museum of Allahabad and Acharya Kshetresachandra Bharat Vidya Anushelan Kendra, Prayagraj.
It was in 1996-97 when a group of legendary scholars from the University of Allahabad organized his 100th birthday birthday.
This time, the main speaker at the event will be Rammurti Chaturvedi, a prominent Sanskrit scholar who will give his lecture entitled ‘Vedon Ka Pratipadya’.

PT Chattopadhyaya was born in Aamta Regency, Howrah on October 27, 1896.
After the initial education in several schools, he moved to the Presidency College, Calcutta, and became a friend with Subhash Chandra Bose.
Then, he completed his BA from Muir College, Allahabad, and Ma from Queen’s College, Timas.
The two colleges were affiliated with the University of Allahabad at that time.
He then moved to Carmichael College, Rangpoor (now in Bangladesh) posted his education, where he taught several subjects including, Sanskrit and ancient Indian history.
In 1924, he moved to Allahabad and joined Allahabad University as a lecturer in Sanskrit.
The famous career of PT Chattopadhyaya, who has rooted in research-oriented works together with teaching BA and MA students.
He is a strong believer in the strength of the truth and has a scientific and rational view that keeps him from bias or prejudice.
PT Chattopadhyaya published more than 70 research papers.
He is part of several national and international conferences.
