Dhaka: The owner of the food crobby factory in Bangladesh was arrested for murder on Saturday for fire which killed 52 people trapped in the building, police said.
Factory six floors outside the capital Dhaka was built without permission, according to police who said they did not have emergency fires out and did not have adequate security measures.
The man who was arrested had the Hashem Food and Beverage private firm, the Sajeeb Group unit, which he also had, according to the police.
The two companies did not respond to requests for comments.
Four sons of factory owners and three company officials were also arrested.
