Thiruvananthapuram: A member of the Faculty of Law Kerala Law Academy College allegedly committed suicide for burning himself at the campus site here on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Sunil V Suresh, 40, from Thururhummoola near Peroorkada which is the assistant professor on campus.
He is the son of late C K S suresh and Dr.
Vijayamma.
The police said that Sunil allegedly burned himself in college around 14:00.
He had watered his body with a flammable liquid he brought in a plastic bottle before burning him.
The body was discovered by campus cleaning staff.
According to his colleagues, Sunil has reached the campus on Wednesday morning.
Close relatives of the deceased said that they did not know Sunil faced all kinds of personal problems.
Sunil survived the wife of Sithara, a housewife, and a four-year-old daughter of Sanvi.
His body shifted to the corpse of the Thiruvananthapuram medical medical hospital at night.
Post-Mortem examination is likely to be held on Thursday.
