Nagpur: In the example of increasing awareness about the noble causes of organ donations in society, family members of Nagpur who lost their advanced 18-year-old child and made spontaneous decisions to contribute their organs to patients in need.
Tirth Devang Shah, who recently cleared the HSC exam, died due to brain bleeding on November 17 at a new era hospital.
Tirth fell from his bicycle because he was dizzy on November 14.
This was followed by an episode of vomiting at night.
However, he was fine.
He had dinner and went to bed.
On November 15, his grandfather went to his room to wake him up, but he stopped responding at that time.
Family members made him receive at the new era hospital.
Although 3 days of treatment, his condition deteriorated and the doctor team declared his brain death on November 17.
“The boy fell because of bleeding in the brain but did not materialize when he began to feel better.
When he arrived at the hospital in a critical condition, maybe after 24 hours of falling, it was very difficult to save him,” said Neurosurgeon Dr.
Nilesh Agrawal.
After the doctor said the brain was dead, his parents Darshana and Devang and Jayantibhai’s grandfather made a decision to contribute his organs.
After being officially given advice by Dr.
Ashwini Choudary, they agreed to donate all organs, including the heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, and eyes.
Nagpur Coordination Team Zonal Transplant (ZTCC) Nagpur sent national warnings for the heart and lungs.
“The heart was allocated to a patient who was treated at MGM Hospital, Chennai.
But because the recipient was unable to pay rented flight costs, the offer was rejected.
Likewise, the lungs cannot be transported for logistical reasons,” said Coordinator ZTCC Veena Wathore.
“Even after death, Tirth moved to a new life by becoming a hero who donated his organs and gave a life gift to three people,” said Dr.
Anand Sancheti, Director of the New Era Hospital where one kidney and liver were transplanted to patients in need on the day Thursday.
“The enthusiasm and preparedness of parents and relatives to contribute to all organs need to be seen to be trusted.
They are discouraged because the heart and lungs cannot be donated for logistical reasons,” said Dr.
Sanjay Kolte, ZTCC secretary.
The ZTCC President Dr.
Vibhavari Dani said the time has now come to reflect on the logistics cost barrier, especially at the government level.
“Serious repeated thoughts are needed to reduce these costs to save lives from parts of society in need and are less capable,” he said.
