Panaji: India cannot involve the team against Taipei China because of a sudden increase in the number of positive cases of Covid-19 and is now considered to have been withdrawn from the AFC 2022 Asian Cup at home.

“After several positive Covid-19 cases, India failed to mention a minimum of 13 players needed for the match group against Taipei China,” said the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) in a statement on Sunday.
