Nagpur: For the second time, the Nagpur bench of the Bombay High Court has taken the confession of Suo Motu for the TOI report on the misery of pension sniffer dogs in this country.
On August 22, TOI reported about Labrador aged 10-and-half years ‘Lucky’ which was a sniffer dog in the center of the central reserve police (CRPF).
Lucky had saved the life of 12 personnel in Assam by sniffing an introsive explosive device buried by the rebels.

“It’s sad that dogs that protect our country are handled in an inhuman means.
Authorities utilize their services and after they are aged at a certain age, forget them because there is no point in,” said this application.

Sanyal has prayed to the court to direct all respondents to record policies for animal welfare that worked for them to post their pensions.
