Hyderabad: The current celebration season turned out to be a grumping for Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC), which reached a one-day income record of Rs 14.79 Crore on Monday.
This is the highest one-day income since the Pandemi bus operation reached the beginning of last year.
“The average income before the celebration season was Rs 9.71 Crore, which increased to Rs 10.71 Crore because of Dussehra.
On October 18, TSRTC was aware of the highest income from Rs 14.79 Crore and had transported 34.47 lakh passengers with an average 25 passengers lakh per day, “TSRTC said in an official statement released here.
Over the last 10 days of the celebration season alone, the TSRTC bus has transported 2.80 passengers crore and reached an average of 63%.
Meanwhile, TSRTC has launched a new pilot project to receive payments through the UPI code and QR at Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS) and Rathifile Bus Station, Secunderabad.
This project will be expanded to all states after pilot testing.
