The first air pollution control tower will be launched on Wednesday

Noida: Targeting the First State Air Pollution Control Tower (APCT), which has appeared at the Green Belt of Dnd Expressway near the film City Sector 16, starting on Monday, the official authority of Noida.

Tower, built at a cost of Rs 4 Crore by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (Bhel), will suck polluted air and filters, installed on the base, will capture the particles, officials said.
Air, free of all particles, then will be released from the top of the material particles, in the form of dust, will be collected in the hopper at the base of the APCT and will be removed regularly, officials added.
The operational costs of RS 37 lakh per year will be borne equally by Noida and Bhel authorities, officials added.
APCT, officials said, also equipped with four fans, each with a capacity of 20,000 m3 / hour and three types of air filters – demister filter (provided on the inlet side before feeding air into the room and considering the temperature around and considering the fog during the season Cold), PM 2.5 Pleated filters and activated carbon filters to clean dust fog and dangerous gases.
This tower also has an automatic jet type dust cleaning system to clean the PM 2.5 filter periodically regularly.
“When cleaning, dust falls and collected at the bottom in the drum / container, which will be repeated manually and discarded,” said Dr.

He added that the complete system of power identification expenses around 100 kW and consumption expected around 75 kW.
