Nagpur: For almost five years after the opening in Nagpur, the Indian Information Technology Institute (IIIT-N) will hold his first meeting for his first two batches on January 28.
Prime ministerial institutions will also celebrate other milestones by holding them next session (2022-23) from the sophisticated campus in Waranga at Wardha Road.
“The convocation ceremony will be held starting at 10.55 in the morning in virtual mode considering the covid-19 pandemic restriction.
The State Union Minister for Education Suhas Sarkar will be the main guest and give the address of the convocation,” said Iit-N Dean Ashwin Kothari to Ti.
Uni Education Secretary of Sanjay Murthy, who is the Chair of the Governor’s Board (BOG) IIIT-N, will lead the program.
Director of Oomphachash Kakde, Registrar Kailash Dakhale and Kothari will attend the ceremony from the new campus.
Around 195 BTECH and 50 Postgraduate Diplomas in Information Communication Technology (ICT) students will be given to degrees and diplomas.
Toy closely tracked the growth of IIIT-N, since when his request was first grew up by the Corporation Vidarbha Economic Development (VED) in 2011 to be conceptualized and began operating in 2016.

The ministry’s decision to regulate IIIts was taken during the 11th year plan (2007-12) to overcome the challenges faced by the IT industry and the growth of domestic IT markets in Public-Public-Protic (PPP) mode.
The prestigious institution began operating from BSNL Regional Telecom Training Center (RTTC) in Seminary Hills and shifted to the permanent campus starting April 1 last year.
At present, it offers BTECH courses in computer science and engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communication Techniques (ECE) along with PG Postgraduate Diploma ICT and PhD.
“From the new session 2022-23, we will offer BTECH on ECE specializing in Internet Things (IOT), and three specializations in CSE – artificial intelligence, data science and human computer and gaming interactions – from 2022,” Publicity officers Prof.
Kirti Dorshettiwar told toi.
On the new campus, five-story academic blocks and 11-storey dormitory buildings are ready, while administration and other structures are on the verge of completion and will be completed before the start of the next session, said officials IIIt-n.
