Noida: The first dose of anti-Koronavirus vaccine has been given to more than 95 percent of the targeted population in Uttar Pradesh while the second dose was given around 62 percent, said the chairman of the Yogi Adyityath minister on Wednesday.
In the age group 15-17 years, 62.83 doses of the lakh vaccine have been provided from the 1.40 dose of Crore’s target, Adityanath said at a press conference in the Gautam District of Buddh Nagar which was bound by the poll.
He said the vaccination program was launched on January 16, 2021 and 157 doses of crore vaccines were available throughout the country.
“Today, I am pleased to notify that 23.75 crore doses have been given to people in Uttar Pradesh and the state exhibition is better than the current national average,” he said at a press conference held at the Institute of Government of Medicine (GIMS ).

“The first dose has been given to more than 95 percent of people and the second dose to 62 percent of people.
In the age group 15-17 years, 62.83 doses of lakh have been available from the 1.40 crore dose target.
Separately, 5.29 lakh doses Preventive measures (booster doses) are also available for people including senior citizens and frontline workers, “Adityanath added.
He said Gautam Buddh Nagar had also made a vaccination drive well, even when he warned people over the third wave of his omicron pandemic and variant but stressed that there was no need to panic.
“The first dose has reached a 100 percent target.
A total of 1.16 doses of lakh given to children in the age group 15-17, the second dose of vaccines given to 92 percent of people and 46 percent of prevention doses available in Gautam Buddh Nagar,” said Minister of minister.
