New Delhi: South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has accelerated work in the first animal crematorium in the Dwarka sector 29.
It is likely to be ready in April.
Inderjeet’s house leader Sehrawat said that the CNG-based cremation center was being built in PPP mode and an agency was chosen for its operation for 10 years.
The Civic’s body has fixed RS 2,000 costs for cremation of animals to die less than 30 kilograms in weight such as pet dogs, cats, ships, goats, pigs, etc.
The cost of RS 3,000 will be charged for dog cremation and other small animals weighing more than 30 kg.
“The cremation of wild dogs brought from the SDMC area will be made free of charge, while the RS 500 has been set for cremation of wild dogs brought from areas falling under other civil bodies,” said Sehrawat.
