Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh will soon have the country’s first museum dedicated to the Earth, properly named, the Indian Earth Museum (time), and will be a world-class iconic museum with a collection of palaeosciences, geology, tectonic, the process of the earth and what.
“The museum, which will become Geo’s treasure of the country, will come true with the joint efforts of Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeosciences (Big), Ministry of Earth, Ministry of Mining, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Culture,” Professor GVR Prasad said from the Department of Geology, Delhi University.
“Detailed national and international consultations have been held under the Aegis of the Scientific Advisor to the Principal (PSA) to the Indian Government.
The presentation for the establishment of a recent museum was made in the PSA office,” he added.
Director of Bsip Vandana Prasad is a preparation for preparing a detailed project report (DPR) for the Museum, while Senior Scientist BSED Mukund Sharma is also among eleven scientists, academics, journalists, and experts who are chosen as members of the team assigning the DPR’s assignment.
In addition, BSIP will also provide a rich paleontological collection for one of its types of museums.
“The museum will show off the unique history of Indian geology and heritage and will promote cutting-edge research in Palaeontology.
It will also provide a national repository for valuable rocks, meteorites, and fossil collections.
BSED will distribute the most rarest, oldest and unique fossil collection with the time museum , “said Director of Bsip Vandana Prasad.
“Before giving the DPR’s responsibility to the team, several brainstorming sessions were held and after that the presentation of the formation of time was made before the Advisory Board of the Science Innovation and Technology Prime Minister (PMSTiac),” Prasad said.
The museum will appear in PPP mode with private, generous, and state government participation, he added.
A collection of rich legendary palaeobotannis final profs of Birbal Sahni and others which include millions of-year-old insects in fossils, the earliest record of fossil bananas from Maastrichtian Danian Madhya Pradesh, the earliest notes of sweet potatoes from the country will also decorate the museum.
