Shillong: University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya (Ustm), the first personal university in the Northeast region, has been awarded the “A Grade” accreditation rating by the National Assessment and Acreditation Council (NAAC), officials said.
A Ustm spokesman said the University, which was only 8 years old, has been accredited by NAAC, the autonomous body set by the University Grant Commission to assess and accredit higher education institutions in the country and assess the University at 7 criteria points.
