Finished / Alvi Times News Network Kanpur: The police on Wednesday registered firmly against 104 people because they took the Juloos-e-Mohammadi procession on the chance of Barawafat on Tuesday, even though the prohibition was subject to taking the procession.
The case has been registered in four named and 100 unknown people.
According to ACP Cantt MS Pathak, it has been decided at a meeting of religious leaders with police officials that this year Juloos-e-Mohammadi procession will not be issued on the chance of Barawafat but even though there are many people taking procession on Tuesday.
The police tried to stop them but nothing was paid, he said.
On Wednesday, Jajmau Outpost in-Charge Sukhram Singh filed a complaint against Hashim Babar, Zubair Qasai, Dargah Sharif resident, Hamza, a resident of Dargah Sharif and Abdul Habib, a resident of Jajmau Jinnaton Guardian Mosque and 100 unknown people.
According to the police out-post incharge, four named lead procession and provoke people to join the Chungi Purani area.
The case has been registered against the defendant based on the epidemic law, ACT disaster management, section 188, 269, 270 and 271 IPC, he said.
“We now focus on unknown people with the help of video recording,” he added.
To remember, Chamanganj police at the end of Tuesday night had ordered three named and some unknown people in connection with the Juloos-e-Mohammadi procession taken on Tuesday even though the prohibition was forced by Covid-19 guidelines.
