Gurugram: There is no Covid death in Gurugram this September.
This was for the first time since April last year that no Covid patients had given up on infection in a month.
In May 2020 that Gurugram had seen the first death associated with Covid.
Four people had died that month after testing positive.
So far, 923 people have died of Covid in Gurugram, with the highest number of deaths (343) reported during the second wave height in May this year.
In April, 112 people gave up on infection.
However, since August 24, there has been no Covid death in Gurugram.
Officials at the Ministry of Health said the majority of Covid patients who died had comorbidity.
Of the 923 people who gave up on Covid, 607 had comorbidity – 267 suffered from diabetes, 143 had hypertension, 85 had kidney disease and 112 had chronic obstructive lung disease.
But it was not only death, the Covid case also registered this September decline.
Of the 186 cases in August, the number has dipped the next 150 months.
The doctor connects the downward trend to extensive vaccination coverage and the development of antibodies in people.
“This (decreasing number) is mainly due to antibodies in people who have been positively tested before.
Also, many people throughout the NCR have been vaccinated.
The number of cases have dropped significantly and there are no deaths reported over the past few weeks,” said Dr.
Manoj Goel , Director of Pulmonology at Fortis Hospital Dr.
Anjali vows, medical supervisors at Artemis Hospital, echoed it.
“Vaccination does play a key role in reducing Covid’s deaths Among several children and children have not been given a shot.
For now, only vaccinations seem to be far from this pandemic, “he said.
The Chief Medical Officer Virender Yadav, however, warned people by letting their guard down.
“Yes, we have watched swimming in Covid cases and deaths today.
This September is very relieved.
But people need to be careful and take all the precautions to curb the spread of infection.
The temperature will now go down and the celebration season is on the corner .
To avoid any other outbreak, people must wear a mask even if they have taken a vaccine dose, “Yadav said.
On Friday, Gurugram enrolled eight new Covid cases, took the calculation to 1.81,216.
