WASHINGTON: The US prosecutor has arrested a group of residents of Florida and accused him of attacking police officers during the deadly January 6 siege, according to court documents that were not sealed on Thursday.
Four people from Tampa Bay – Olivia Pollock, Joshua Doolin, Joseph Hutchinson and Michael Perkins – were arrested on June 30, the prosecutor said.
The fifth, Jonathan Daniel Pollock has not been arrested.
More than 535 people have been arrested and accused of joining the attack, failed efforts to stop the Congress from certifying the November Election victory of Democrats Joe Biden for the time-President Donald Trump.
The Justice Department lawyer said all the defendants except Doolin attacked police officers on January 6, sometimes using emergency weapons such as Sholen Riot Shields and flagpoles.
Doolin was charged because he was traveling with the group to Washington, but he was not accused of attacking officers, the prosecutor said.
He allegedly violated the land of Capitol with zip-tie handcuffs tucked into his belt and chemical tube control riots on his shoulder.
The prosecutor accused Perkins handing poles to the chest of a police officer.
They demanded Jonathan Pollock by dragging two police officers along a set of stairs and crashed into the police shield stolen to the throat officer.
Jonathan Pollock’s sister, Olivia Pollock, repeatedly tried to tear the stick officer, a prosecutor said.
Hutchinson allegedly kicked officers who tried to prevent rioters from violating the reasons of the Capitol.
Hutchinson, Doolin and Olivia Pollock were not guilty of the court hearing on Thursday and asked for a jury trial.
The prosecutor had tried to explore Perkins when he waited for the court, said the severity of his actions made him public danger.
The judge has not governed at the request.
Tuesday marked six months since the attack, which according to the FBI has caused more than 165 arrests of people on charges of attacks, fighting or inhibiting police officers and other employees from Capitol, including 50 who were charged with using deadly weapons or seriously injuring the police.
Five people died during violence and the next day, including a police officer Capitol.
Two police officers who participated in the Capitol defense then took their own lives, and more than 100 police officers were injured.
